Plugins made out of necessity
INHA plugins are not products developed by a commercial audio software company, and I have no intention of disguising them as such. These plugins are independent software developed by a solo software developer. Nobody got paid to make them. They are not even passion projects. They are reluctant necessity chores whose results exist solely because nobody else made them, so I couldn't just buy them instead. As a music producer I needed what they do, my DAW or existing plugins couldn't do it, and as a professional software developer I had the misfortune of knowing how to make them.
Each plugin began with a particular audio processing problem, followed by a search for an existing plugin that could solve it, only to end up with a collection of Python scripts. After growing tired of constantly exporting audio from my DAW, processing it with those scripts and importing it back again, the scripts gradually turned into more convenient real-time VST plugins.
Randomness is one recurring reason these plugins exist. I like working with random processes in music, but audio plugins rarely embrace randomness very far. Even plugins built around randomization or sequencing often generate short patterns that repeat, or produce events relative to when playback or the plugin starts, rather than anchoring them to the DAW's timeline. I wanted randomness that could keep changing throughout an entire project while still being deterministic: the same random seed produces the same events at the same positions on the timeline, regardless of where playback starts or when the plugin becomes active. That approach ended up becoming a defining feature of many INHA plugins.
I would have rather bought these plugins ready-made than made them myself. Since they now exist anyway, I'm making them available at relatively low prices for anyone else who happens to have similar ideas.

I am currently looking for work in Japan.
I am a senior software developer with a background in UX and graphic design. I live in Finland and hope to relocate to Japan permanently. My Japanese is currently at beginner level, so I am primarily looking for an English-speaking role. I would need employer support with obtaining a Japanese work visa.
During 20+ years of professional work, I have contributed to projects for Nintendo, The Body Shop, Iittala, Nanso, MTV, Lifecare EHR, the Finnish government, Flow Festival, Berner, Orion, Fonal Records, Helmi Levyt, Merck Records and others.
Outside work, I develop creative tools such as these plugins and make art and music. I have also contributed to open-source projects maintained by Google AI, NVIDIA AI, Mozilla.ai, LMU Munich’s Computer Vision & Learning Group and the University of Surrey, some of which have supported widely used image- and audio-generation software.
Job leads and introductions would be greatly appreciated. Please contact me at o@inha.jp.
Thank you.
